Black Snake Rising is a performance that took place at Less Space Gallery in Oakland, CA for a duration of 3.5 hours. It is based on a vision I experienced of a great black snake rising from fiery depths within my being/body. Inside the "pod" I enacted a choreography that focused on the deep internal muscles of the abdomen, which was the location of the snake in my vision. Through focused mind and body I attempted to generate the energy of my vision so that it could be tangibly felt in the gallery.
